1.       Entering Lent With Jesus – Only twice did the Enemy come to Christ directly, in the Temptations and at the Last Supper. We enter Lent with Him preparing to walk the road to Jerusalem.

2.       Christ preparing the spiritual ground – Christ was fully committed to fulfilling His call, but He had to do much of preparation Himself to ensure He would die……..

3.       Between Christ and Satan?  – It was not what the Enemy could take, but what Christ was willing to surrender …….we begin to see the true picture…….

4.       Christ acts through His words – Words spoken and the knowledge they bring also release energy – energy that can blind us to reality or can make us more whole…….

5.       Christ’s choice to surrender Himself  – At no point on His road to Jerusalem is Christ under threat from the Enemy – he is not mentioned – but what is emphasized is that Christ refused to defend Himself…….

6.       The Cross is only part of the Story (Easter Sunday)  – Easter Sunday takes us beyond the Cross to include the rest of the story…….

7.       Christ is Risen – and in His new body?  – The numerous appearances of Christ after His resurrection gives us a range of tantalizing hints of what we will be like one day……….
